Lance Tait is the author of more than forty stage plays (one-act plays and full-length plays), as well as a number of comedy sketches and the musical, "Helen". Tait's plays have been produced or received staged readings in New York, Los Angeles, Toronto, Boston, Denver, Paris, the United Kingdom, South Africa, South Korea and at the American Repertory Theatre in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Tait studied playwriting with the Nobel Prize (literature) laureate Derek Walcott at Boston University and and music composition at Bard College. In 2002, in Paris, Tait founded Theatre Metropole. He writes a variety of works for the stage and is also active as a filmmaker. Sony Pictures' website, Crackle.com signed Tait to a royalty agreement for two years (2007-2009); during that period he produced/wrote/directed twenty-five short films.
